Schools need to teach 21st century skills, and the way to do that is with technology, Semingson said. "This is a way every student will be able to learn to their fullest potential."
What skills will young people need as they go out into the world today? They will need to be creative, know how to communicate and collaborate with others and solve complex problems and, of course, have technological skills, he said.
Technology is changing how even adults learn.
"If you need to find out information on a topic, I'm guessing you look it up on the Internet," he said. What once took five hours to research in the library now can be found in five minutes on the Internet.
